The Collective provides you a direct line of communication with our team of parents, educators, and mentors—each with unique expertise and perspectives. Whether you need support building family routines, goal-setting, or preparing for college—choose a guide that fts your needs, book a one-on-one session during their monthly ofce hours, and they’ll help you make a plan.

Dan is a teacher-turned-unschooling father, parenting coach, independent meaningful learning advisor, and a podcast co-host with his son, Kai. He offers perspective on all things learning, parenting, and the shift toward independent meaningful learning. He advocates for consent, youth empowerment, and challenging harmful cycles and mindsets. He helps families clarify needs and boundaries while centering connection, unconditional acceptance, and the autonomy of all members.

For over 15 years, she has helped parents find resources, build community, and reimagine education. A mother raising lifelong learners outside of conventional schools, she now supports families worldwide through workshops, consulting, and community-building.

Who is the Mosaic Collective for?

The Collective is designed for those interested in exploring and practicing Independent Meaningful Learning (IML) in a deeply customized way.

What sets us apart is the support of our experienced Guides, pointing you to content, people and opportunities that match your family’s unique needs. This means that regardless of who you are, where you come from and where you are in your IML journey, you’ll find value in becoming a member.

Questions about membership?

To log in to your Mosaic account click the link here. Locate the “Log In” button at the top right of your page. A pop-up screen will appear. Fill out your login information and then select log in.

To log in on our app – First download the Mosaic: We are Born to Learn app for Android or Apple.

On the bottom left, tap “Login.” Enter your login information and tap on “Login” to get into your account.

Once you join Mosaic, you’ll automatically become part of our main community – a vibrant space where the journey begins. But that’s just the start. To explore other smaller groups that align with your interests:

  1. Look to the left-hand menu on your screen.
    Hover your cursor over the icons—then click the second one from the top, labeled “My Community.”
  2. Welcome to your Community Hub!
    A new menu will appear. Click on “Groups”—it’s the second option in this space.
  3. If you haven’t joined any groups yet, your feed will be empty. No worries—it just means your next step is to find your people.
  4. Click “Discover Groups” to browse all open communities.
    When you find one that feels right, hit “Request Access.”
    Once your request is approved, you’ll get a notification in your app and email. Then you’re in — ready to connect, share, and grow with others on a similar path.
