It’s not permissive parenting, and it’s not quite authoritative parenting–in fact, let’s just throw out that whole antiquated parenting chart out the window. Partnership parenting is a relational dynamic based on collaboration, coregulation, and co-creation. It’s family-based rather than hierarchical. It prioritizes autonomy, but without losing sight of equity.
