About - Mosaic

We believe
that learning
should focus on
helping young
people thrive,
not on standardized
outcomes.

The mainstream educational model created in the 19th century no longer works.

The question isn’t “What should we teach?”, but “How can we empower young people to navigate an ever-changing world?”

We believe that key life-skills are needed for individuals to truly flourish:

Learning: Curiosity, Critical Thinking, Systems Thinking

Living: Compassion, Self-Care, Meaning Purpose

Leading: Collaboration, Communication, Adaptability, Discernment

Conventional schools are lagging when it comes to fostering these skills. Meanwhile, a growing body of research reveals how self-directed learning environments allow young people to thrive mentally, physically, and emotionally.

That's why parents and caregivers are rethinking their children's education.

Mosaic was invited to contribute to ‘The Future of the Educator,’ a multi-organization dialogue on AI and learner-centered education.

“Every child is truly unique, drawn by their own imagination toward activity and knowledge that matters to them. A system designed to efficiently process millions of children as though they are precisely the same completely dishonors the uniqueness of every child. Mosaic is here to help us celebrate that uniqueness and possibility.” Jeff is an experienced corporate executive, entrepreneur, philanthropist, conservationist, author, and founder of MeaningSphere™ and Mosaic. Jeff served as CEO and Chairperson of the Board of Directors at Vertex, Inc., spending decades developing Vertex into a global leader in the tax technology industry. Jeff’s experience of values-centered collaboration at Vertex, Inc., at home and in the community, instilled a desire to help advance institutional transformation founded upon the primacy of intrinsic meaning. He serves this purpose through work in business, education/equity and autism.
